Turmeric

Beyond a Spice
Happy Saturday!
I mentioned before that I have begun incorporating various supplements into my diet and I would like to start introducing them to you starting with turmeric. I started reading about turmeric when I was severely suffering with brain fog and looking for natural remedies to assist in me getting better. I was suffering from many symptoms and was actually quite hesitant to look into adding "one more pill" to my regimen. However, I was feeling so bad that I was also at a point of what did I have to lose? I wan't getting better as a result of conventional medicine remedies and I was spiraling out of control. My entire life was impacted whether it was home, work, or social.
Two of the key benefits, out of many, of turmeric include being an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Considering inflammation has been a strong culprit as one of my ailments I wanted to include this into my diet in addition to intentional food choices. The main component in turmeric is curcumin and this is what gives turmeric the yellow/orange color. Curcumin is the ingredient that fights inflammation along with improving skin health, joint pain, and boosting brain function among others. The fighting agents in turmeric make it a sound choice for those dealing with graves' disease and thyroid disease in general.
I added turmeric to my diet in April 2018 and by May I felt like a new individual. I wish there was a way to qualify and quantify the shifts inside our bodies as evidence of the changes that occur (which there probably is for a nominal fee), but I figure a testimony will do. I started to notice how I interacted in meetings and the level of contribution I provided which was a major shift from what I was capable of doing prior. I started to feel whole in mind, body, and spirit and I had not felt this for years! In two months my body had transformed from taking turmeric. I had my swiftness of thought back and was able to process information much faster than I had before. More important, I felt like my original self and for that I am extremely grateful.
I encourage you to read more about the healing properties of turmeric and see if this is something that can work for you. It is available as a powder, capsule, tea, spice, or oil.
Brands I use include Solaray and gaia Herbs. Click the links to learn more.
Turmeric is the spice of life! Be well!
